Soul Eater: Blood of Youth- Continuation (Private for thelonegrunt and Sami-Chan)

"Oh, you want a toy? Alright then, sweetie." Blair said, placing the girl back on the couch and going through the bag that Patti had mentioned. She didn't know specifically what the girl wanted, so she took the contents of the bag and emptied it onto the open space of the couch, a bit startled to see the amount of things packed inside. This way, Blair wouldn't have to go through the trouble herself and Patti wouldn't stare at her like a complete idiot.

Patti looked at the toys with glee, beginning to rummage through them. She began to toss aside the toys she didn't want, as she was looking for one specifically. She didn't see it, however, and began to grow worried. Despite her favorite toys being amongst the pile of play things, she couldn't seem to find the one she wanted. Desperate, Patti crawled off in the house once again, hoping that the toy was somewhere in it.

Blair followed closely behind the girl. She had grown concerned over the last two times the girl had ventured off by herself, so she would keep a watchful eye on her now that she was fully awake. She already had to deal with Soul's room soon enough; hopefully Patti would burn herself out soon so she could get to repairing it.

Patti searched in Maka's room, since she remembered being in there earlier (even though she never brought anything into the room). Since she didn't want to get into trouble again, she didn't rip apart the room like she did last time. Patti searched throughly to satisfy her search here, and now continued on. She skipped Soul's room, being she knew she brought nothing in there, and moved on to look in the kitchen. It was a silly place to look for a lost toy, but Patti didn't know any better. She could only look in places she could reach in, letting out a long whine when she couldn't look anywhere else. Crawling back to the living room, Patti though it must have dropped somewhere near the couch, since the toys were dumped there. She stuck her hand underneath it and moved her hand under it a little. She wasn't buying it, however, and thought this would be the place it would be at. The next thing she did was place her hands under it...

...and flipped it over.

Blair stopped everything that she was doing. She stood there with her mouth agape, flabbergasted and even somewhat terrified of the display shown by the girl. She never thought that someone like her would be capable of doing something like this, as the showcase of strength was something that Maka was probably incapable of handling. To top everything off for Blair, she did this in the mindset of a baby! She didn't even seem to struggle tossing it over.
"P...Patti... I... I don't think your toy is... there." Blair stuttered, trying her damned hardest to keep her composure as she now went for the couch. As she started to lift it up, she could really feel her arms start to grow weak, proving that what had just happened was not a small feat. After a series of groans and aches, Blair flipped the couch so it was facing up again, placing the cushions over and moving all of the spilled toys away from the scene.

"Aaaaw..." Patti moaned, upset that the toy she wished to play with was not there, and settled for the ones already here. She hadn't flipped the couch knowing she could. It was an unconcious thing, the thought of not being able to lift it even crossing her mind. It was an incredible and shocking showcase of unknown strength. The girl hadn't even shown something like that while having her normal set of mind, being she mainly used Liz's weapon form to fight and didn't need to fight hand-to-hand with anything before. It was a good thing knowing this now and not later when it could cause serious trouble or injury, but it was still unbelievable to Blair after seeing something so unsuspected from a seemingly frail girl.

Blair was a bit nerved at seeing the girl possessing such strength. The first thing she could do is try to call Liz and give her information on what had just happened. However, that may not be a great idea as the girl might cause further damage to the home. Instead, she nervously approached Patti, trying to keep on her good side now as she had capabilities unheard of of many other children her age.

Patti happily played with her toys, speaking baby gibberish as she made some of the toys talk. She didn't even notice Blair until she was close behind her. She turned around when she did, and smiled up at her. "Pway?" she asked, remembering Blair said she would.

"Um... yeah hun... sure..." Blair accepted, slowly sitting down and digging through the pile of toys, pulling out a simple, raggedy looking doll. She now needed to stay within a thin line to keep Patti content. Her curiosity paired with her strength could turn this entire home upside down and could also hurt her. She needed to keep the girl as well as herself and everything surrounding them safe.

Patti continued playing with her toys and going back to the little adventure her head brought out. She was speaking in gibberish (or at least gibberish to Blair), and only assumed that the woman was playing along as well. She wasn't paying attention at all, and in fact would probably not notice if Blair just sat there.

Although Blair was now wrapped up in paranoia, it still not deter from the fact that the girl was absolutely adorable. It just gave the woman something more to look after. She approached the girl, scooting closer and pulling her into her lap, cooing to her happily and keeping her as happy and safe as humanly possible. There was no telling what sort of damage the girl could cause if bothered like she was earlier upon Liz's absence.

Patti played on for quite awhile. It was questionable how she eve had this much energy to begin with. Even as her regular self, she would be up and about for a very long time before wearing herself out. And, just like little kids as well, she would collapse and take a nap once she was finally drained. That's what happened here as well; Patti soon became bored with playing with the toys, and when she couldn't find anything else to do, she plopped her body on the carpet and fell asleep.

Blair looked down in surprise as the girl basically collapsed asleep on the floor. She wasn't sure what that meant, so she quickly scooped the girl up into her arms to make sure she was completely alright. After a moment, she noticed that the girl had fallen asleep, she smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Sleep tight, baby girl." Blair whispered tenderly into the girl's ear, placing her on the couch and allowing her to sleep peacefully. With that taken care of, she went to Soul's room to bring everything back to order.

In the later hours day, Lid and Liz had successfully completed their assignments with relative ease despite the amount of work that had to be done. In fact, should they keep this progress up, they should be caught up with the other students by now. It would be a matter of having Patti have the amount of souls that Liz had now until they will be truly done.

They both now came to Maka and Soul's apartment to pick up Patti. Kid was still tryin to figure out how to dispell the girl from the Youji Kari's attack that one night many weeks ago, as he needed both of his partners to show his true potential, though because his father had cured Kid of his symmetry he now was able to fight with just one of them now.

Liz was more than excited to meet up with her sister once again. Her absence was very notable during their fights and simply havIng Patti by her side again would make the long day worthwhile.

Blair was currently on the couch with the padded girl on her lap, watching television. It seemed that she had calmed down a great deal since she had woken up from her nap. It was a certain relief to not having her crawling around and destroying the small space which wasn't truly her own.
In a few moments, the doorbell rang. Blair heard it instantly with her sharp hearing, and rose up on her Own, informing the girl to stay put. The cat woman slowly walked to the door and answered it, praying that it was Liz and Kid hear to pick the girl up.

Kid knocked three times on the apartment door once arriving, Liz waiting right behind him. He then put his hands behind his back and waited for somebody to answer. While having free time, Kid had been busy at work with coming up with a cure for Patti, whether it be a potion, a reversal spell, or anything of that type. Though thinking of the girl as overly obnoxious and childish, he still cared about her. She was his partner, after all, and though their souls are completely opposite, they bond quite well.

The door quickly opened up, and Blair soon met eyes with Kid and Liz. "Hello. We are here to pick up Patti now. Has she behaved for you?"

Once the door was open, Liz treated the woman with the same attitude as Kid did, knowing exactly what she was here for. Her mood shifted in almost an instant, however, as she noticed the girl curled up on the couch. Without even bothering to talk to Blair or try to make conversation with her any longer, she rushed toward the couch, sitting down and pulling the girl closer to her. "There's my baby sister!" Liz cooed in a very motherly tone, cradling her little sister on the couch with the happiest of smiles and the most lifted of spirits.

"Yes... she had been a... very good girl, an absolute angel." Blair was lying through her teeth when she said this. Baby or not, no girl had ever caused her to become so fearful of things that did not belong to her. As she hid most of the issues fairly well, there was one she simply needed to confront. "Could I... talk to you in private for a sec?" Blair asked in a whisper, Liz too obviously focused on babying her sister to care about anything else.

Kid instantly became concerned and suspicious once Blair asked to speak elsewhere. Shortly looking over at Liz and Patti, who were now practically spraying their love on one another due to being apart for so long, Kid lightly nodded his head. He didn't know what to suspect, but could figure out as much that it had to do with Patti. He would be surprised if any other subject came up. However, Kid onl thought of some kind of minor problem, like no wanting to upset Liz with the news that Patti misbehaved, or something apon those lines. Once following Blair to another room where their conversation would be silenced from the girls' ears, Kid looked at the woman. "Alright. What really happened with Patti? I'm sure I can punish her fairly later for it."

"No, it wasn't anything involving that, although she did create a bit of a mess around the place a little earlier today. I fixed it up myself so that was nothing to worry about. What I was thinking about was this: Patti... took that couch right there, with just one arm, and flipped it right over, like it was a little toy." Blair recounted. "I don't even know what to think of it myself... I mean, there might be something about her that I just don't get, so that's why I needed to tell you about it."

"Patti did that?" Kid questioned, not believing Blair for a moment. They had been partners for a very long time, and never had Kid witness Patti performing any kind of strength or agility aside from welding Liz from time to time, and even then it wasn't anything too special. He would look into it later, but he wasn't buyin it straight away. "I don't see that possible. How heavy is the couch? Do you know any exact weight to it?

"That couch is a heavy piece of lumber. Very long, very large. I'd say it's about... eh, maybe one-fifty to two-hundred pounds, and that includes the big cushions and pillows on top of it." Blair estimated. "Look, I could barely get the damn thing back on its regular side again! It took me a good minute to do what she did in a matter in less than two seconds.

"And you're also saying that she didn't struggle in doing so, correct?" Kid asked, tryin to confirm his question. This was quite the discovery, though, considering Patti most likel displayed this act unconciously and without even trying. Should Kid somehow witness Patti's supposed hidden strength, then there was no telling how much she could aid not only him, but possibly even the whole DWMA. That is, if she truly is as strong as Blair describes her to be. It was an even bigger reason to return the girl back to her normal state. Though still not having a solution to that yet, this news would surely motivate him. "Thank you for telling me about this. I'll look into it further elsewhere. For now, thank you for watching over Patti for a while until we came for her."

"No... she just... lifted it up and tossed it, no big deal for her..." Blair informed Kid. It was startling to the woman that a girl with the mental capacity of a baby could wield such strength. "Oh, you're welcome." Blair was a bit saddened to have the little girl leave so soon, as playing and watching over her was at times fun, but she was more than happy to be home alone again and with no one to distract her or to look after.

As Kid continued his conversation, Liz stood up, using her own strength to carry Patti like a little girl, her arms supporting her sister's bottom and back. "I hope you had fun, Patti. I missed you so much! Now you get to come back home and get a reward, lil sis!" Liz cooed, continuing to adore the girl in her arms as she walked closer to the other two.

Kid would certainly tell Liz about what Blair informed him of, but for now he wanted to get home and relax for a little before doing anything else; today was an exhausting day having to catch up to their soul collecting. They left immediately after Kid had finished talking to Blair, now preparing for a well-deserved break before telling Liz about Patti, leaving the two girls alone for now.

As the trio walked out of the door, Blair eliminated the visage of a smile, sighing in relief that she no longer had to deal with such a major responsibility. Soon enough, she saw herself turning back into a cat, now walking back to the couch on all fours and hopping on, curling up and preparing to give herself the catnap she certainly deserved.
After thinking of the day's events, something she hadn't thought of earlier popped into mind; she would more than likely have to babysit the girl AGAIN. Who ever said this would be a one-time deal? Coming to this conclusion, Blair buried her furry head into her paws, letting out a groan.
