| uh.....so do you want to make manga,as in like a manga-ka,the person who actually creates the manga or shonen jump/shoujo beat, etc.,the company that publishes the manga and provides the editors, etc. | |

| yeah I'm creating the manga but it's going to be in America for now using a American comics publishing style, even if I hate it,it's more interesting so I'm producing smaller issues rather than volumes for weekly release with spin offs and events in a collected universe, cause most of my series are in the same world, just different zones | |

| you can also start of by drawing doujinshi (fan made manga) and selling them at comic events. Tokyo's Big Site has many doujinshi conventions every year. http://www.bigsight.jp/english/ | |

| Well,I say don't worry about staffing until you actually know that you're manga/comics are good and people like them, the number one way to do that is,as said before,to make doujinshi and send them into things like akamaru jump or sell them at cons. And if you get a series in shonen jump(and probably other magazines, though I know shonen jump does this)you will be provided assistants. One thing that might be a problem is money though,it's hard to make a living making manga, not many people do it. I say you have you're finances in order before you do anything serious. | |

| well how exactly would you plan to sell the manga then? You have to sell you're series through some publishing company to make it a notable series to any fan,and frankly, for it to be successful, and most of those companys have a weekly or monthly magazine that a chapter of certain manga come out per month/week,and those manga are un-deniably the most well known. I don't quite know how it works for comics, but I don't believe DC and marvel have a magazine.
I know there are plenty of manga that don't come out on the magazines, they release issue by issue, but those are much less popular than the ones that are in the magazines. | |

| yeah I guess i'll have to consider that
but yeah, marvel and DC don't use magazines, they sell issues though stores that's more of what i wanna do but a magazine might be beater

| well,as for artist,if you're not skilled enough to draw it yourself, you could probably go to forums and search for artist. You'll only one artist to partner up with though, and they should be very skilled. Keep in mind it's even harder to make a living when you have a partnership. | |

| ah,also,if you plan to produce manga from america instead of japan, which is very rare but possible,I'm not sure what advice to give you, though I have heard of an american anime called 'desert punk',I'm not sure if there is a manga to accompany it,but I would search to find out how they got there anime produced. | |
